
Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating Course (CPL/IR)
The CPL/IR is the basic licence required for flying commercial. It is the first step towards becoming a Professional Pilot with an airline.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Minimum age of seventeen (17) years.
- Successful completion of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia with five (5) credits with a credit in English, Mathematics and any one of the Science subjects OR at least two GCSE A Levels subjects OR its equivalent for overseas cadet pilots.
- Letter of approval from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) Malaysia. DCA contact address:-

Course Duration
The course consisting of a minimum of sixty (60) weeks and includes:
Ground Training
Ground Training covers a minimum of six hundred sixty (660) hours of tuition and lectures on aviation theory subjects:
- Navigation
- Meteorology Theory
- Meteorology Practical
- Flight Planning
- Radio Aids
- Instrument
Flight Training
The course consists of a total of two hundred (200) hours (165 hours on single engine and 35 hours of multi engine) of flying in our Piper aircraft.
